A report is only sent once the client has signed the evaluation. The signature is the client’s confirmation that they have seen it and approve its content.
Check the report first
On the evaluation’s overview, “Customer PDF” shows the report the way the client will get it, and “Internal PDF” shows your own version.
The client signs
Tap “Sign and send” (or “Sign”). Hand the phone to the client. They write their full name under “Name”, sign with a finger and tap “Save signature”. “Clear” starts the signature over.
The screen shows what they are confirming: that they have reviewed the hoof evaluation of that date and approve its content.
Signing needs a touchscreen. On a computer without one, the app asks you to open HoofSpectrum on the phone instead.
Send
Once there is a signature, the button says “Done and send”. Tap it and a dialog shows who the report goes to and asks “What to include in the mail?” You can choose photos, per-hoof notes, the Qualified Spectrum Rating and the other details. It also lists things worth a second look, such as a hoof with empty fields or no next appointment; they can be skipped. Tap “Send”.
The app says “Report saved and queued for sending”. The email goes out straight away if the phone has signal, and otherwise as soon as it is back online. You do not need to remember it.
If something is missing, “Cannot send” says what: the client’s email address, the horse or the signature.
Changing a signed evaluation
A signed evaluation shows who signed it and when. If you change it anyway, the app asks first. The client must sign again before the report can be sent. “Re-sign” lets them do that.
Afterwards
“Mail history” shows what was sent and when. To send the report again, see the guide about sending a report again.
